Candidate Statement

As a lifelong resident of the Antelope Valley, I attended Sierra Elementary, Park View Middle School, Quartz Hill High School, and Antelope Valley College. Later, I received both a Master’s Degree in Education and a Master’s in Literature.

After several years as a teacher, the Antelope Valley Union High School District asked me to administer programs that support incoming teachers, providing new and creative ways to prepare students for the future.

My passion for education is strong. I’ve dedicated my career to teaching students as well as giving teachers the tools to become better educators.

Successful schools require: engaged parents, thoughtful teachers and resources to make our students ready to take on the world.
I respectfully ask for your vote so that I may put my professional experience and personal dedication and commitment to work at our schools.

My wife, Monica, and I will soon be sending our young children to school in Lancaster School District. I’m looking forward to working with teachers, school administrators and parents to ensure that our schools are accountable for providing the best education and a life-long love of learning for all students.

I’m always available to parents and teachers. Please call me at 661-726-2595.
